It's a bit far from Portugal to the local high street though, eh Joao?

You should fill the diff with enough oil to just reach the filler hole when the car is level. This is about 1 litre. I bought 1 litre and put it all in. Hypoid 90 differential oil is what Haynes says to use.

Is the Hypoid 90 ok for the LSD as well?

Cheers,

yep if you are talking about a sierra one, as the lsd is sealed and seperate from the main gear oil in there.

With the old salisbury plate diffs like the capri atlas ones, you still use EP90 but add an LSD additive which affects the way the plates work somehow.

The additive is the stinkiest stuff you ever smelt, in a new sealed bottle it smells from 20m away.
