ok just ordering some nuts and bolts off ebay what size are the castle nuts on the track rod ends, as i want to replace them with nylocks, unf ?

the ones on the steering rack wishbone end

well whilst sva proofing my car i have a nylock one side and a castle the other lol and whilst i was ordering some stainless nuts and bolts i might as well do them all

You mean the nut on the end of the taper into the upright dont you? They tend to vary between manufacturers, but mine are imperial. If you can get a vernier and measure the thread OD and pitch i can tell you what thread it is likely to be.
