Camber adjustable (turn buckle type)

Has anyone ever converted a 'Book' set of front top wish bone’s to the fully adjustable type, so that they can be adjusted without taking the suspension apart?

If so, how.

Cheers in advance,

The Baron

I have used them on my top wishbones.

Not much more trouble than the standard design and they work a treat. See my build diary no 9 and 14.

The only disadvantage is they reduce the space for the spring although I had no serious problem with mine, just took a bit more care.

Doing it this way does mean re-adjusting the tracking too after each camber change.

Is there a design that avoids this, using Cortina/Sierra uprights I mean?

I don't think there is - if you think about it, more negative camber would effectively give you more toe out. I'd never thought about that till now and I've been on the road 2 years!

same on any wishbone setup with steering, you must always reset toe once you have adjusted cambers.
