Replacement Caliper Pistons
As above, does anyone know where I can get a new piston for a rear Sierra caliper. It looks to have been sat and the chrome has bubbled slightly right
around it.

I don't know if they will have Sierra pistons, but I have bought Cortina ones from them.

Piston Costs
From memory about £38 for 4 pistons, but if Sierra calipers are single piston ones about half that.

Hmm. Only paid £2 for both front calipers off Ebay so I reckon I might keep an eye on there for summat similar. Only need one piston. Cheers though.

Before you part with any money check out the cost of reconditioned calipers . Might be more cost effective

Piston Dimensions
Note the small hole in the ridge near the top. In the bottom there is a clockwise threaded tube to twist the piston as it moves.

The threaded tube is not to twist the piston (the piston can't twist, there is a peg on the back of the pad to prevent this). It's part
of the handbrake adjustment mechanism.

hi mrgrumpy sorry about the delay in getting back to you
the biggest rear pistons that trw do is 48mm long and 38 mm wide i got a pair of them here if you could mod your s (with a sleeve) you can have them
for free i also seen in one of your other posts do you still need m18 x 1.5 fine thread nuts if so let me know
sorry again about the pistons but if you want them pistons there yours

What a coincidence. I just got one this morning so I've no need but your help is more than appreciated. As for the nuts they're for a drag
link as oppose to the track rod end and as such are M17 if I remember rightly but Gav's able to sort me out if he hasn't already so many
