Trailing arms & Rose joint's
Can anyone confirm whether 10mm rose joints on my trailing arms would do the job, or should I be going for something a bit bigger?

i would be happy with that on my car, others might suggest bigger. More depends on the quality of the joints though i believe.

Or one end, depending where you are looking from I used M12 on mine but M10 should be well up to the job if they are decent joints. My logic was
most motorsport applications use 1/2" and M12 is nearly there.

I was looking at CCVI joints pos type, steel/bronze with lubrication points
"The Basic load rating is 20.61 (kN)"
(no idea whether that is good or bad! )
The axle is sierra DeDion if that makes a difference, I suppose as it's lighter than a live axle it should? Or is that statement asking for
trouble

Mine are 5/16 or 3/8 can't remember which for sure, they are originally from a Formula Ford 2000 so they obviously felt they were up to the job,
I'm putting roughly double the horsepower thro' them with no probs. I would point out tho' that most metric rosejoints are aimed at
lower quality end of the market, top quality ones are available but not easy (or cheap) to find.
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

Hi you will find that by using a unf thread you will be able to have a much finer thread/adjustment per half turn of a joint. As apposed to a metric
thread.

5/16 or 3/8 for the trailing arms?
So 7/16 rather than 10mm ones would be plenty, presuming good quality ones are used?
Good point Matt, as above, 7/16 in UNF should do the job then?
Am I right in thinking PTFE lined ones would be prefered over steel or brass?
