what's your steering wheel to dash clearance?

Looking to see how close to the dash I can mount my sierra column on my custom build - Can anyone give a measurement from the wheel itself forward to the dash on a seven?

Thanks,

James

My trusty metre stick says 4 1/2" to front of wheel (being towards the front of car), less at top!; and 1 1/2" to stalk.

I wouldn't go much closer!

my is 10cm. I can reach the indicator switch with my fingers but can turn the wheel without being hindered by the switches.

But this is very much down to personal taste. I would start with the steeringwheel too close and then use spacers after testing.

Thanks, i'm just trying to size up the passenger compartment and knowing how close to the dash the wheel can go will help me keep it to the minimum size
Thanks all
