Escort / English Axle Oil Breather Problem

Hi All

Hope somebody can point me in the right direction, basic problem is that I have oil coming out of the axle oil breather after a hard (very short) run.

The only thing I can find on the web is a note that these things stick and generate this sort of problem.
a) Is that the case?
b) How do I fix it?

If I need a new one anybody got any ideas of where from?

Or have I got the wrong end of the stick totally and I need to do a bit of re-engineering to cope with high axle speeds etc etc.

Thanks

Jim

you haven't overfilled the axle?

I've not seen one of these for sale anywhere so I fitted a Land Rover breather - nearly the same size - a bit of araldite holds it put.

I did have as spare one somewhere butthink I threw it away.

Hi

Oil fill level seems ok, and it only seems to happen when the cars getting some severe stick.
But sounds like we're on the right track, i'll whip it off and give it a good clean out first then.

Thanks for you help
