column bush - how big is it?
How big do I need to make the hole for my Sierra lower column bush?
I don't yet have one so cannot measure it, before you ask!

Thanks.
Unfortunately 42mm seems to be the only size that you can't buy a holesaw in... Do you reckon a 44mm hole would do the trick? Anyone?

Dunno but I stitch drilled mine then filed it down. Takes a bit longer but satisfying when you've done it

Chain drilled and filled mine. It needs to be a very snug fit or it will pull out and flop about.
May get away with a size smaller?
Best bet is get a bush and start from there.

Cheers guys... I have a bush kit on order from MNR (also £4) along with some other stuff.
Think I'll buy a cheap holesaw set and use the 40mm + Dremmel as suggested.

Mines slightly under to be honest but is a nice snug fit without a kink mind. Good luck.

Mines brand new and knocks like hell. Theres loads of clearance to the triangular shaft.
Theres a distinct knock when I turn the wheel that just wouldn't be accepted by Ford these days!
