rear bearings
Hi all can some one tell me how easy it is to change rear bearings on ford Orion
Diesel j reg tried to get 30mm nut of to look but can’t seem to budge it .it’s the
Sons car he is of to cornwall at weekend end wondered how easy
or is it best putting in garage

Has it got the weird nut like a cage round a lot of thin nuts? My Escort had them and I destroyed one getting it off. The actual bearing change is no
problem but get ready to buy at least one new locking nut.

hi pete no there does not seem to be any thing holding nut
i seem to remember that on one of my old capris

I think they are left hand thread on the left hand side.

Yep easy. Did both sides on next doors in under an hour.
Tip ....Borrow a slide hammer .

so when i eventually get nut off how easy does bearing come off
and when putting back on how tight does nut go must i torque it or just do really tight
