Polybushes to Rose Joints

I've just finished building my Avon and noticed going to full lock i get my top wishbone slide up and down on the steel tube in the poly bush.

if i re did the wishbone to change to rose joints would this cause any major problems, i have read about increase in vibration/bumps?

Wishbone bush sizes and crush tubes lengths aren't set up properly

Is the crush tube tight between the bracket sides?

If so, use a washer with a hole bigger then the crush tube to hold the poly bush tight in there as well.

Pat...

I would stick with the poly bushes if you can - rose joints that will handle the punishment of a wishbone are around £25 each. Any cheaper than this and they will quickly fail.
Also poly bushes insulate you from a surprising amount of road noise.

thanks Razman, thats answered my question of other problems from having rose joints, althou i have about 16 fairly expensive joints that probably wouldn't break but noise cost be a problem

Better to trim the crush tube down to the correct length and pack out with penny washers with the same sized hole as the inside of the crush tube (i.e. one suitable for the bolt being used).

If you use washers that go over the crush tube you risk them turning as the suspension moves and eating into the brackets.
