where to get some new springs?
Just a quickie been having a look on the net for some higher rated 1.9 id springs but not having much luck other than dimontweeks and don’t want to
pay ££££££ for them I have some old spax coilovers at the moment which I might replace at some point but want some front springs to get it of the bump
stops so I can go for a test drive any one got a good link to where to get them?
cheers Nick

Thanks chaps I will have a look volvosport “i might be after selling the ones ive just bought , to try something different again” LOL we are both in
the same boat then I think im going to go for 350 as I have some 275 that are just of the bump stops as the 200 that were on there originally were
full compressed. What do you guys think of 350 I have a 1600 cvh and rally design / gts wishbones

if this is the front - you should have around 300 front and 200 rear if its IRS .
well thats most would supply , have you worked out any leverage ratios that might be having an effect ? inclination can also have an effect .

Yes this is the front To be honest I haven worked out any thing just upped the rating from 200 but still need a bit more I think it needs over 300 as
275 is still on the bump stops so 325 or 350?. back is a bit hard but will do till its on the road.
OOOW RD are cheap but they are yellow i want black

Hi when using whishbones such as the GTS ones which put the dampers at a greater angle it always requires the spring rate to increace over the ones
that are mounted more vertically.
Also the poor desighn of the gts type ones where the bottom damper mounting is so far away from the wheel means that your ratio of wheel movement to
damper piston rod movement is greatly reduced.
It is quite normal for cec cars to be running somwhere in the region of 300lb - 400lb on the front depending on what the circumstances are with the
damper angles and mounting position.

You will also need to know the unfitted length as well, of course, as that will have as much effect on the final ride height as the poundage
