Brakes and Pads
Hi All
I have now given up on the idea of fitting the cossie calipers to my Viento. The standard brakes I have have bedded in and are working pretty well so
I think that some better brake pads will make the difference I am after (and I cannot afford to spend any more money on the brakes right now!) Can
anyone recommend any good pads for the standard Sierra calipers? Any good/bad experiances with uprated pads?
Also (the cost saving), I have a good set of 2wd Sierra Cosworth 4 pot calipers (bought as good/re-con'd, and sprayed with high temp paint). a
set of brand new sealed EBC Green Stuff pads, a pad fitting kit for these calipers, and a pair of new 283mm vented disks. Any idea of what these are
they worth? What should I advertise them for?
Thanks
Mark

You will probably not see any benefit from uprated pads unless you intend to race or have a track day. Harder pads will often feel less effective on
the road as you need to get them quite hot before they are up to full efficiency - normal road use won't do this.
