Column - too close??
When it come to the gap between the steering column and the chassis how close is to close? I have a 2-3mm gap just above the lower joint. Will I have
to modify FU2?
Cheers
Dave

Hi Dave
A gap's a gap and providing it remains constant and does not foul the chassis at any point of its rotation there is no problem. There is a
similar very small clearance on the trials car at this point. This uses the book chassis front end.

Mine is close in a couple of places, at my SVA, the tester said that as long as a clearance is present in all eventualities then is OK, he tugged at
mine to check that it wouldn't contact under duress!
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
