Quaiffe reverse box
had an interesting conversation with
quaiffe technical at the autosport show.
It seems there is a difference in the
bearings on the 2 shafts. I have now got
a fax showing that one end has a double
bearing and this should be connected to the
longer propshaft. In most 7 type cars this will
be to the diff. Premature bearing wear could
be a problem if fitted the wrong way round.
Easiest way to tell rear end is reverse light
switch to rear.
Might be worth checking

Tell me more. I am in the process of fitting reverse to my mnr. The build manual says the reverse goes the opposite way ? If we fit it as per the
manual the reverse light switch is on the off side front of reverse box.
Which is right . I have seen pictures of the reverse mounted either way in different peoples cars. It also appears that this would make the lever sit
very far forward.
Help please !!!

Thanks Marc. I didnt expect 24hr problem solving !!
Well we will get cracking with that. We have had the kit 10 days but have been building it since last Saturday. We are about ready to go rolling
chassis.
