using front hubs wishbones and subframe at the rear

Hi,

as per the title i am wondering if it is possible to use front mondeo v6 running gear at the rear, obviously the steering would need to be locked but not sure if this can be got around or if there are any other probs?

if these can't be used what hubs etc do people use in a IRS set up?

cheers

I built a car using a mini engine in the back, rose jointed the steering arms to the chassis to give rear toe adjustment so why not ?

that sounds like a good idea, have found something of interest on a saab forum someone showed me on here. Someone is fiting the front suspension from a 900 to the back of his 900. u basically cut it out then weld it in place. obviously not this simple but it looks like the way to go with custom driveshafts linking the ford to saab parts.

are these expensive and difficult to get hold of? if i have the two different driveshafts can they just make the one i need from them or would they make them from scratch?

cheers

You can cut and shut two driveshafts together, but it's a bit of a bodge. Custom made driveshafts are surprisingly inexpensive, have a search for GB Engineering on here.
