Sierra Front disks

Morning all,

I have a new pair of vented front disks for xr4i calipers but they seem the wrong size. They are the correct diameter but when sat on the hub they are about 8mm forward of where they should sit in the caliper. The originals are fine though (albeit very rusty) so I'm not sure what's wrong?

Did they differ from year to year or have Halfords just given me the wrong ones??

Thanks

You should be able to compare the old and new side by side. If they are different then either they have given you the wrong ones or you don't actually have an XR4i setup

Cheers

Are they the 260mm diamiter ones ?

if the answer is yes, then chances are they've given you XR4x4 ones not XR4 ones

4x4 discs have a ~5mm shallower bell, so will sit ~5mm further out on the hub

the XR4i discs are the same as 2.0 ABS ones

They're defintiely xr4i calipers as they have the 60mm pistons and they're the shiny red new ones fron Bigg Red which matched the ones that came off the car. Think I'll take these disks back and check the model number.
