help please have stripped the cv joint on my seirra halfshaft (bolt on type) to put a new boot on but when trying to put it back together cant seem to get the bearings in is there a knack to this or am i just being thick have been trying for ages

Yes there is a knack to doing them.

It's no big secret but they only go in a certain way...

I can't remember the method myself without having one in front of me, but it's something like:

Start with the cradle opening of the tri-hole matched NOT to the tri-groove, but to the tri-ridge.

I know none of that makes any sense but it might give you something to try when you are stood in front of them!
