Choosing shocks and springs

I need to get some coilovers for the back of my RH in an effort to stop the back end bouncing around like a jelly!

What are peoples opinions of the Gaz shocks that Raldes sell? Are they a good choice, or should I be looking elsewhere at a different product? (I have protech shockers at the front, but they are not cheap!)

Raldes have a choice between rod bearing and rod bush......what is the difference?

I also need to choose some springs, but thats another can of worms for another post I think!

The gaz all steel units seem to be a pretty good shock. I have tested a pair on my old shock dyno and they have good curves and a nice range of adjustement. I've also seen others on here saying good things.

As far as the bearing/bush thing goes I assume that by bearing they mean a spherical bearing like you find in a rod end and that by bush they mean a 2 piece PU bush with crush tube inside.

If so then IMO the bearings are fine for 90% track use but for the real world the bush system is better. Less noise transmitted, very low wear rate, the opposite is true for the bearings. Their only advantage is the almost complete absence of play.
