sierra master cylinder
when i brought my chassis and other bits he gave me the sierra master cylinder too the only thing is it doesnt seem to have the rod coming out of the
end to fit to the brake pedal is it just good for the bin or is there a bit i can buy to fix it and what is it called thanks in advance adam

nope, that's how they're supposed to be. it's because the servo is removed so the pushrod goes with it.
you need to make a push rod. standard fare is a clevis with a piece of threaded bar inserted and the end rounded over.

so does it just push on the diaphram inside then its not fixed to it am i ok using two sierra m/s aswell one for front and one for rear

You should only need to use one. They have three outlets, one for the rear to be split at the back somewhere and two for the front.

oh right that makes it a bit easier then so how do i go about biasing the rear brakes down cause ive put discs on the back also what do i use as the
new rod can i just buy one and if so where

Probably won't need bias as only off one feed anyway. Mines same with discs on back too. You'll need something like an M6 brake clevis
and some threaded rod cut to length and rounded at the end.

rite that sound ok to do then which of the outlets is for the rear then or doesnt it matter as they are all at the same pressure

2 outlets at the front go to the 2 front calipers and the single outlet at the back of the master cylinder goes to a T piece at the back which then
splits the feed to either rear caliper.
At a recent SVA my friends car was very near to locking the rear first which is an SVA fail.
The siera brake bias valve fitted before the T piece or a mini bias valve fitted to the master cylinder rear output feed or an inline bias valve but
this must be fixed once set.
A seat of brand new standard pads at the back and a set of bedded in high performance ones at the front may give a bit more front to rear bias but in
the long run for safety and proper brake performance you want your brakes right.

If you use the girling sierra setup, you can just remove the servo and the pin will fit directly into the master cylinder instead of the servo. No
bias valve is needed if you have M16 at the front and drums at the back.
