VW rear caliper - mounting thread

Anyone know what it is?

I know what it isn't...

3/8-24 (UNF) goes in loose and tightens after a few threads leading me to think...sloppy on dia but tightens on pitch mismatch...got to be M10x1.0....but it's not..

Anybody know for sure?

And, yes it's probably been asked before, and I've looked...

Yeah that would a logical choice but it's quite bit finer than 1.5 pitch...

Puzzled..

After some proper measuring (that I should have done the first time..) it appears to be M10x1.25.....unless anyone knows differently...

I was going to guess 10x1.25 - easiest way to check is to measure over as many pitches as possible , 4 threads should be 5mm , 8 will be 10mm etc.

Its cuz I is blond , innit

Thanks Claire..you are right that is a good way....but the worse thing is, I do have proper thread pitch gauges....I just guessed the first time...couldn't be assed walking to my toolbox.....that'll learn me..

Cheers,

Alan
