fuel tank and pump
just picked up my fuel tank now ive got to fit the bike pump in it i know mk do a boss but its £25 so was thinking about welding a plate of steel to
the bottom about 15mm thick big enough for the pump then just cut a hole in it so it fits in and drill and tap the screw holes it would cost me just a
couple of quid and can do it tomorrow then aswell theres no problems doing this is there

OK sorry i would think a mini grinder will remove the coating
You have not had fuel in it have you ?
if so don't weld it

Your welding is going to have to be fuel tight right the way around the plate isnt it??
As above, a mini grinder or drill mounted rotary wire brush should soon have the powder coat off
