Rear calipers, confused :(
Hi all,
I tried placing my rear calipers (the hydra-mechanical ones from RallyDesign, Golf Mk IV?) up to the hubs.
Caliper link
Seems the disc (original sierra one) isnt the right size as it will not fit inbetween the pads, i.e. it will not go back far enough, by a good cm or
two.
So is the problem the disc? Or will I need some kind of bracket/adaptor to make the caliper offset from the hub carrier? Or am I missing a trick
altogether and doing something very silly? (more likely IMO).
Thanks
James

I think when you use these calipers you need a different disc with a different offset.

Not all the Sierra rear discs are identical IIRC, some sit about 10mm short of where they should be. I had a set from halfrauds and had to take back
and swap them.

You could make a spacer to space the disc to the correct offset?
