TVR's are only a problem for those who expect Honda-type reliability for their cars and are no use with a spanner.

If you've run a kit-car, then a TVR should pose you no more or less troubles - you just have to keep on top of things!

Check the carpets as the roofs tend to leak.....

The roof on the Cerbera doesn't leak because it's a hard top not soft top.

Ooh, there are a few, apart from chassis and the obvious, check the lighting electrical boxes in the boot, check the slipper diff.

I am a bit worse for wear at the moment but i have owned a Cerbera and a Griff, if you want to PM me and jog my memory i will try and guide you, i had no trouble with my Cerbera , they are huge fun and will do 180+, try and buy one with a suspension upgrade preferably nitron's.

Always seem to me to be, well sort of "nearly" finished, mind you never owned one. If I was in the market for that kind of car I would go for a Lotus, then it's only bits that fall off you have to worry about. Ray

Check for cracks in the manifold close to the flange. Common fault and a costly repair. Each manifold about £350.

Thanks for the replies so far ;-) i went to look @ it today ,A lovely looking thing just been resprayed 18" wheels ,new exhaust & new leather re-trim ,but it's done 36+k miles & it;s very tappity (rattly top end on solid lifters ? ) so being the first Cerebra I've seen not sure if this is normal to be rattly ,& what are the engines good for in miles ? oil pressure was 65psi idle ,about 80 psi ish when revved ,any more info appreciated ;-) a fewpics

why had it been resprayed and retrimmed - accident damage/repairs?

Ricks-9r - 21/7/08 at 10:46 AM

the guy who owns it works @a body shop so i think he just did it to change the colour to what he wanted & the re trim just a bit tatty interior i think so had that done as well
