Errrrrrrrrrrrr...

This is gonna sound a little crap, but was thinking of using mini-bus seats and have noticed that some have seat-belts attached. Don't have a copy of the SVA manual and was wondering what the SVA standpoint would be.

Any suggestions welcome.

How about - get a SVA manual?

The latest version has several pages of data about seats with fitted belts, which basically comes down to a huge amount of floor bracing to cope with crash loads.

One thought - most of the minibus seats I've ever sat in have had just lap belts - which wouldn't pass the SVA... or are yours 3-point?

rgds,

David

my 2001 sva manual says that seats / frames that have integral seat belts must use bolts to secure them to the same std as the belt alone would need (paraphrased).

Ive used the runners from a granada which also carry the lap buckle (3 point). At this seat mount point there are two 8mm bolts, which would make the min sva req of a 11mm bolt (if i rememeber).

The belts are three point, but i've just passed them up and bought some foam to make my own. Think it'll be easier. Thanks for the help though.
