After all the debate over wishbone strength that we have had on here over the years, i thought i'd tell you that we have unfortunately crashed tested one of our Locost "book" versions.

We use the same wishbones on the front lower suspension on the silhouette race cars, and we had a major shunt at Oulton park last week. 106mph, 5 feet off the ground over a barrier and landed on one front wheel, totally smashed the wheel, and damaged the engine and chassis, but, not even slightly tweaked the wishbone.

Therefore its safe to say that i'm fairly confident that they are up to the job on a Locost.

right thats it, i'm starting a scare story that your wishbones are too strong!!!!



hope nothing more than pride and bank balances where hurt.

we did some crash testing at the weekend as well macspeedy was holding the steering wheel at the time!!!!! doh
