Low range scales in parallel! I hadn't thought of that, that is a cunning plan indeed.
anyone care to explain how this is set up? I have 4 scales, and will happily buy 4 more.

Two scales under each wheel.
Load spread by placing a board across the two scales.
Add the readings of the two scales for each corner weight.
