Low strengh sealant?
im going to either rivit or riv nut my body panels on, so that they are removable at later stage if neccercery.
but also wan't to use some form of sealant, to allow for flex and stop water getting in.
so what sealant would be recomended, that will allow panels to be removed without damaging them?

Iv just used cheapo bathroom sealant. Seems to do a good job 
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

yeh any kind of silicone sealant, it won't be hard to remove the panels if you need to, but does give a good seal!

Personally, I'd use a 1 part polyurethane sealer that's paintable ... silicone can be a pain if you plan on painting later.

If you're going to use silicone - get neutral cure. Normal silicone gives off an acid as it cures (acetic acid springs to mind - but that may be
me thinking of something else).
Do you really want an acid ontop of your nicely painted chassis?

Acryllic sealant??
There´s one called No more nails on this side of the pond.

Try mirror adhesive, applied like silicone, good grip, can be knifed apart like silicone but can be painted.
