If anyone is interested, I have a VW Golf Mk2 engine and gearbox for sale amongst other bits. It was run in my rally car 2 years ago but the chassis leg was damaged in a shunt so I removed the motor and scrapped the shell as it was twisted. The engine was intact and running fine after the mishap. The motor has been dry stored for 2 years; I now have no use for it so it's up for sale. Spec and list of bits included are:

- 1800cc 8 valve, SOHC engine with high lift camshaft
- Standard gearbox but with a Quaife LSD installed
- Rose jointed adjustable wishbones
- Standard driveshafts included
- Airbox
- Samco hoses
- Oil Cooler with braided lines
- Radiator

This was a pokey motor for rallying but was also fine for normal road use, and the diff made it a great handling car, especially on the loose out of tight bends when getting the power down. I know it's not the typical weapon of choice for 7 type chassis designs, but there may be some members on here who fancy an upgrade for their Mk2 Golf.
