I have rescued some ally honeycomb offcuts from being sent to the scrapyard.
Five pieces about 2 foot square and one larger "L" shaped piece, about 4 foot square.
All pieces just under 15mm thick. Cell size varies. Most are around 4mm, others larger, maybe 6 or 7mm.
They have a few dings and storage marks but could be of use to someone using this type of material for chassis construction or other project.
See photos for general condition.
They could be useful to experiment upon, try out bonding techniques etc. rather than using expensive stuff.
I just couldn't bear to see this stuff go in the bin. If no-one wants it I'll probably cut it up for shelving!!
It cuts easily with a hacksaw so presumably could be accurately cut to shape with a jigsaw.
Collection only please, I'm five minutes from M1 J27.
First person to turn up with £20 or thereabouts.
