Carbon Fiber Look Vynil. Sounding Interest
Angel Acevedo - 22/8/10 at 04:55 PM

As title.
Just sounding interest.
I am selling this stuff in Mexico, 3M Di-Noc brand, and the price is about half of what you would pay in GB.
I will check on Monday how much it willl cost to ship a roll to the UK and let you know if worth it.
Best regards.

We'd have to pay Value added tax when its imported which is 17.5% on the cost of the item and the p&p AND an import tax, at a rate that seems to depend on the mood of the customs guy.

It means you would need to be kicking it at about 20-30% of the price in UK to cover the P&P and taxes and still make it worth while doing

I think I can do up to 30 % off UK Price maybe a little more.
Not sure on the shipping though.
Best bet would be Group buys.
So shipping would be greatly reduced.
That I´ll take care tomorrow morning.
Thanks for the info.

Not if its sent as a 'gift', or the price of the goods is accidently miss quoted.

Omega0684,
I´m not an expert by any means. I received the material yesterday and did my daughter Laptop, see results

I think that with little practice anybody can obtain Pro-Like results.
There are several examples in the Net about it.

If you can get the price down I am sure you will have no problems selling it here - it's all the rage

This is what it looks like with 2 coats of laquer.
http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=139335
A 1.2 x 1.2 metre sheet is around £70, a full 10 x 1.2 metre roll is around £430 delivered in the UK.

I bet she's fuming! how long did it take her to get it off the screen? I bet the keyboard is a pig to use, too!!!

I entered Exeter Post Code EX4 6HA on UPS Calculator and this came up:
For 1 Complete roll, 28 kg, declared value of $ 1,100.00 USD (712.75 GBP) , 1.2 X 0.15 X 0.15 mt
$ 330.00 USD (213.82)
cost of roll: 1387.75 GBP
Total 61 mt roll in UK:
1,401.57 GBP.
I think it compares very well against
A 1.2 x 1.2 metre sheet is around £70, a full 10 x 1.2 metre roll is around £430 delivered in the UK.

I know, I know....
It´s a LOT OF Money!!!
