I've shortened my 2 part blacktop sump but there's one bit that weeps, no matter how much i grind it back and weld, it always gets a damp
patch when i fill it with water.
Anyone got one that doesnt leak spare??
Zetec or CVH should fit. Needs to be around 6" top to bottom.
Cheers
Dave
Araldite or JBweld it where it leaks.
Keep going mate, you'll crack it eventually!
Dont let a bit of metal get the better of you!!

Put a tippex arrow of where it is, obviously far enough away not to be ground off, Grind it back and then get a butane or propane torch on the
arrowed area and get it nice and hot, then try and weld it again, could be the cold start of the weld being porus which wouldnt be helping maybe.
Just a thought
Rich

is it steel or ali? im guessing ali being a zetec. did you accidentally dip the tungsten around the problematic area?
if it was me i would cut out the dodgy bit and weld in a patch.

Someone else suggested gasket paste. Have you had any look with either you mentioned
