fs: "Book" Chassis

Hi there,

Ive been contemplating this for a while, but i need to get rid of the book chassis that i made when i first got into kit cars. I bought the metal in kit form from ARMOTO Engineering, and welded it myself.

It has been mig and tig welded, though im not a coded welder and used CO2 for the TIG work, gasless for the MIG. I cut open some test welds and got little in the way of bubbles, however the reason for my hesitance in selling until now is because i wasnt sure if i should keep it and use it in the future.

I welded it together on a 3/4" ply table, and is straight. I was going to fit a 2.9 V6 so has been changed slightly to accommodate various bits of the running gear but the fundamental dimensions are the same as uncle Rons. I had plans for additional strengthening beams but didnt put these in.

I must stress, that although i would be happy to test this myself, i wouldnt want anyone else to buy this under any false pretences, so im selling with as much information as i can give. By all means, inspection prior to purchase can be arranged.

Also, i had a play with different methods of mounting the front brackets, and put an extra plate in on one side to get some measurements. This was when i stopped, so some of it is still tacked on, and the plate can be cut off easily with a careful grinder.

Really, im just after the space and some money back so that i can put some proper lighting in the garage.

Pictures in my photo archive.

here

Offers welcome.

If i dont get any more interest by the end of this week, ill be "Dismantling" it and keeping it for brackets etc. I want the space back, so that i can put up some decent lights. and start tidying up.
