OT: Mini disc recorders

I have a mint condition MD-JS440 player recorder here. Never gets used (unused for the last 4 or 5 years - but tested and working great) And a shed load of minidiscs (about 40)

Its boxed, with instructions, remote and everything that would have come with it new. Its black. Not a mark on it. Can pack and post, would send discs separate.

I also have an Sony MZ-R70 portable player/recorder in metallic blue. No box, but instructions headphones and remote present along with charger. In very nice condition, few signs of wear, but not abused. Runs off single AA battery which lasts about 30hours

£75 for the JS440
£35 for the R70
Or £100 for them both plus post

I've just given my MRZ 35 portable to my son as I haven't used it in ages and was going to bin it. I listened to it again the other day and it is amazing how much better it sounds than my Ipod!

I still have two Sony minidisc machines.

Only recently sold the tascam because it wasn't getting used.

I'm a big fan of minidisc.

Yeah, another fan here.
I blew most of my first pay packet on a portable when they had only just come out.
I don't think I could ever bring myself to sell it. (or give it away).
The older generation say vinyl is dear in their hearts, well I'm the same with minidiscs.

I got one of the second generation Sony units for my 18th birthday present. Thought it was great at the time - digital recording... wow!! Still have a Sony unit in my stack for my old discs, and until it got stripped for the rebuild.

It was a great format for the car (until flash storage came along) as the discs were so robust. Try playing a CD that had been kicking around in the footwell of your car for a week with no case!

Anyway... back on topic...

Ditto....may even have a minidisc changer lying around in the garage somewhere...probably in the same box as the mStation that replaced it...
