After much deliberation I've decided to sell up my project before I really get stuck too far into it.
I bought the car as a part restored project with the intention of putting it together as a classic hillclimber, but with a new arrival in the house
restricting my time, and what time I do have being spent on the trails on my motorbike (a bigger one of which I will soon have, see my post for my
XL125R for sale), I'm just not going to get round to doing anything with it any time soon.
So, I'm guaging interest on the follopwing, which package together for the right price:
1. 1963 Mk1 MG Midget rolling chassis. Chassis has been restored already, and much of the bodywork has been prepped, to a good standard by the
previous owner. Really just needs a bit of fettling up here and there and prepping for paint. I have pretty much the whole car, less engine,
gearbox, seats, screen and original wheel (though I have a Mountney wheel to go on instead). The front calipers are exchange units that haven't
sdeen any use in anger yet.
Will come with a standard 4 bolt axle and front hubs.
All the important bits of trim are there that you can't get anymore - right down to the basket that goes on the boot.
ETA - also have the v5 in my name too
2. Gold Seal Gearbox
3. Wire wheel axle, front hubs and 5 wheels. Axle and hubs have been refurb'd and painted and looking good. Wheels are in good condition, but
could do with a spruce up.
It really is a good little project, and I've been deliberating whether to sell up for ages, but with a new (second) baby in the house I have to
be sensible and try to limit myself to doing one hobby well rather than stretching my time and finances to too many things. For the moment, that
hobby is trail riding so the midget, unfortunately, loses out.
If anyone's interested, please drop me a u2u and we can have a chat. I can get some photo's next weekend (weather permitting - I'm not
rolling it out onto the drive if it's raining!) if needed.
Cheers, Steve

.
Any idea of a price?
I'm open to offers, but would ideally be looking for something around the £1000 mark given the condition of the shell and fact that a lot of the
parts on the mk1 are getting hard to find.
As said though, open to sensible discussions on the matter
Hi
Is your 63 MG Midget still for sale?
Thanks
