These are by old build wheels. They did the job and everyone seemed to like the look of them.

they are a bit tatty and the tyres are warn but open to offers, cash on collection.

Hope you don't mind a (small) hijack but what exactly is the lifting platform that your car is sat on? Looks a very handy bit of kit for a car builder . Any idea who makes & sells them and is it actually as useful in practice as it looks? I assume the lifting is done hydraulically? Can the flat-bed be set to any working height or does it have a series of preset heights or is it simply either up or down? Apologies for the barrage of questions!

Hi John, Cool isn't it!

Its hydraulic, yes.
Its numatic to lower back down and relies on the vehicle weight to push the fluid back into the pump.
Its got a ratchet type system to give you about 15 different heights available
I bought it from eBay about 2 years ago for about £1500
Note, it weighs about 500KG and I needed a fork lift to get it off the lorry! Luckily it came to work!

the only downside is that it can only take a vehicle of about 1500KGs. It struggles to lift heavier.

oh, and its crap for my MK as it stratches the side panels, I usually just lift 2 wheels at a time and leave 2 on the floor.
