After a couple of years not being able to compete in the Locost series due to other commitments (including 6 months in Afghanistan!) I have come the
the decision to sell my Locost Race Car.
It was built as a sister car to Vicky Pickle's current race car and was previously raced by Dan Stevens, finishing 3rd in the series in 2003 with
several wins that season. Dan sold up and moved on to Seat Cupras. The car was last raced in 2008 and complies with all regulations up until then, but
will need to be modified to meet the latest regulations.
MK chassis
Brian Randall engine (then refreshed by me each year)
Bolt-on roll cage
4 speed Escort/Cortina gearbox with 3.9 and 4.1 diffs
Tony Law 4-1 exhaist manifold and re-packable exhaust
AVO adjustable shocks
Glass-fibre seat, recent harness (make TBD)
Plumbed-in fire extinguisher (will need to be refilled)
Alloy fuel tank
Beztek Electronic ignition
A selection of spares (TBC once I've done an inventory)
The car is currently 10 miles North of York (postcodse YO30 2AA)
The trailer is a converted caravan chassis (incl brakes) with a winch and wheel rack. Not the best trailer in the world, but I've towed the
Locost all over the country with it and it does the job well.
