Single Axle Trailer Locost (narrow bodied)
dalefaulkner - 1/5/13 at 12:00 PM

This very light single axle trailer was used for a few seasons to take my Locost Race car around the country.

Originally it was a formula Ford trailer that I modified giving excellent ballance for a Locost. Very easy to use with excellent sturdy galvanised ramps and a new winch. Painted last year with Hammerite so looks great. Mudgards function but have been repaired over the years so cosmetically you may wish to replace them. Props work fine and are essential for car use. Jocket wheel is all working. The original built in brake has never worked, but I have never stripped it to see why. Repair kits are available. Somebody has fitted a standard Girling mastercylinder which worked fine, piped up to large Vauxhall van hubs. Load rated tyres, free spare all with good tread. Free trailer board (just bring your own number plate).

I'm looking for offers of around £200. Pictures and measurements to follow.

Location DY5 area.

I have stored this in relatively small garages with the Locost on top so it's ideal if you don't have much space. It also gives excellent access to your race car keeping it at exactly the right height.

The chap who bought my racer already had a trailer.

Thanks for the interest.

I've decided to list it this weekend for more on ebay. If it's still available on Monday night. I'll sell it for £200.

So keep posted.
