For sale is my fantastic Triumph tiger 1050. Ive had this bike for 14 months and put 9k trouble free miles on her, and the only reason i'm selling is i'm having a clear out of all my bikes (this is the last one) and getting another triumph (just 1 this time!). I use her to commute on (so mileage will increase), but do not ride through the salt covered winter months. She is always plastered in corrosion prevention spray (Q20) so once its cleaned off always looks great, and hence no corrosion showing on the engine casing or other usual areas.
Bodywork
The bodywork is near on perfect, the only tiny mark on any panel or tank is a tiny scratch on the front mudguard and small scuff on the headlamp. This is being hyper critical, the the bodywork is above and beyond a bike of half its age and mileage.
Engine
The bike has been regularly serviced, the booked is stamped up until I bought it and I have serviced it myself since. I checked the valve clearances at 18k and they were all fine. The plugs were all replaced at the same time. It had an oil and filter change 2k miles ago, using silkolene pro fully synth oil. The engine sounds sweet and has the usual beautiful triumph triple growl.
Drivechain
New chain and sprocket fitted 2k miles ago, and has been kept fully lubbed up since, so no tight spots or wear. There is a Scott oiler fitted, but I don't use it as I don't like them, I just lube the chain up with spray on lube a couple of times a week. I will throw in the bottle of Scott oil I have if you want to use it.
Brakes
Discs are good all round, not new but no lips or pitting. There is a small amount of corrosion on the rear disc on the no contact area. Pads are all sintered EBC items whoch I have replaced while I have owned the bike (but cant remember when) but all have plenty of life left in them. Callipers are all good with no leaks and run free.
Tyres
Pilot road sport 3 fitted front and rear with only 1k miles on them.
Lights
6000k HID upgrade fitted to main and dip lights, CREE LED spot light bar (on high beam), LED side lights and LEDs fitted to hand guards, you can see this bike coming!!
This bike is ready to go for the new owner, its very clean, runs without a glitch and doesn't require a service for at least another 4k miles.
