I am currently looking to replace the Indy I have just parted with, and I am looking at purchasing BEC , But V nervous over such engines, not bad working are car engines but never been near a Bike one.

Lovely looking car

One question, is the branch to hold bonnet up included in the price!?!?!

Jodieshann - 21/6/14 at 12:21 PM

branch is not included....I'm panning on selling this item seperately

don't be worried about a BEC engine. In my opinion it's far easier to work on than a car engine. You can do nearly everything with the engine in situe, and because it's so small access it really easy. Japanese bike engine are pretty much indestructible. This has had a brand new clutch fitted and uprated springs so will be good for a long time to come. For replacement they are very cheap and a simple job.

It's a nice weekend so come and have a look. I'm open to offers from forum members as i need to buy a bath and shower and the only place i can store them is where the car is sat!!

Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reassurance, the car looks awesome and everything I am looking for, just sold my 2ltr Zetec Blacktop Indy, and fancied a BEC next and this fits the bill, I am in Lancs hence Surrey is a it far for viewing.

I like the different things in life and yours is different, which is what attracted me, just a shame your so far away.

Why are all best looking cars so far away ha ha

Indeed. I brought this one down from Glasgow where it was built by a forum member.

Did you drive it back or trailer it?

Jodieshann - 21/6/14 at 02:14 PM

Trailer. It would drive no probs though. Just need a pair of earplugs as bike engines rev high

Had a few CEC but never been in a BEC, need to go and try one before deciding on one, but yours is very tempting, different and that is what I like.

Just one question about BEC, do they perform ok on local roads, I don't want one for track days etc, just for sunny day run outs?

It's really down to personal preference, but if you understand what you are getting then they are fine. I don't use this on the track just for sunny Sundays. They are not as refined as a car but the sequential gearbox is great fun. Especially when you start to do clutchless upshifts, and its accelerating like a racing car. If you have some local roads that are quiet on the weekend and a good surface there's no better car to experience real driving in my opinion.
