BGH E8 gearbox as new

Bought Sep 2008 and used for 10 trackdays in my Striker. Ratios are;
2.66
1.75
1.26
1.00
0.86

Top of the range helical gearbox that cost £1400 + VAT

Fantastic upgrade for £700

Very tough box with revised oiling and well spaced gear ratios. The E8 has the stronger synchros as well. My E7 has been used regularly with 200 lbs ft through it on my supercharged Striker.

Very good but what is a E8 gear box ?

its a BGH modified type 9, its the strongest one they do - 280bhp / 240 ft.lb
(as in the link above)

I've got one too, but I can't say much about it because I've not used it yet


btw - it might be worth adding if its a long or short input shaft one (I'd guess its a short one)

Sorry, its a Ford Type 9 short input shaft 5 speed gearbox built by BGH geartech.
