O/T - Fish pond filter with UV lamp

So I bought a new filter for my fish pond a few weeks ago... multi-stage filtering, UV lamp, all the bells and whistles.

Unfortunately I had a 'specification error' - I completely messed up the pond volume (I thought I had 1000 gallons, but in fact it's nearer 1500), didn't take into account that the pond is in full sunlight for most of the day, and didn't realise that my pond pump was far too powerful for the filter (I tried using a flow restricter, but that was a failure). The end result was that I totally overwhelmed the poor thing, and all the water just went straight to the overflow.

I now have an appropriate filter for my pond, and an almost new filter that's sitting in my wood-shed.

So - if anyone is looking for a fish-pond filter with a built-in UV lamp - it's one of these. That site gives the whole specification. Further information can be found on the manufacturer's website. (this one is 'Model 18' ).

This is now for sale for £55, which is approximately half of what I paid for it. Carriage will be extra, but it's really light so that shouldn't be too bad (I'll find out the exact amount if anyone shows interest).

Note: the filter has been thoroughly rinsed, disinfected and rinsed several times again. It's really clean!

One minor problem - I have cut the hose connector to the UV lamp in the lid to match the 1.5" hose that comes from my pump. If you don't have that diameter hose the supplier in the first link above can sell you a new connector for about £3 + P&P.
