V70 - bangernomics bargain?
Don't know why I didn't post this here first rather than on evilbay.
Anyway, details lower down are taken from the advert with a minor change in ordering. I really wanted to keep the car as I like the idea of
bangernomics but the wife had other ideas, and the money.
V70 - last of the classic shapes and registered in 2000.
2.4 20v petrol engine.
Manual
5 seats - front are heated.
£400 plus TAX (currently worth £180)

Was being sold for SPARES or REPAIR - now runs.
The wife has purchased a newer car so the intention was to sell my V70. As the MOT expires on 20-Jan-2013 I thought I'd get another ticket on it
before advertising it. Jumped in the car this morning to take it for an MOT and it won't start. The engine spins but it is as though there is
no spark, maybe the immobiliser isn't being deactivated.
Edit: Minutes after posting this advert on ebay the wife returned home, so I went to show the wife that it doesn't start..... and it STARTED
and runs.
Bodywork is in good condition for a 150k car. I've had this car for over 10 years and it has been reliable. The previous company owner had their
office and home located in Yorkshire and Brighton areas so this car did 100k in 2 years and I've done 50k in over 10 years!
The engine is fine, no smoke and never used oil. Gearbox was fine and brakes had been replaced all round in the last couple of years.
Leather interior is in good condition but obviously shows 150k miles worth of patina on the drivers seat.
Rear tyres like new, fronts half worn.
Lots of history and has always had an annual oil & filter change.
No TAX although 10 months can be had for cost before the end of the month, otherwise I'll cash it in.
MOT until Jan 2013
Located 6 miles south of Norwich and not far from the A11.
