FS: Audi A6 2.7t biturbo quattro (petrol) 2001Y
Selling my audi!
Black with black leather, saloon, currently on SORN, log book in my name.
Engine is the lovely 2.7 v6 with two turbos, 6 speed gearbox, drives beautifully.
Recent new clutch, 3 or 4 tyres are new within a few thousand miles, one even has the bobbles on still. Back discs and pads are brand new, literally
not even bedded in yet.
Will be selling with 12 months MOT, should have that sorted in a few days.
BAD BITS
Few hand marks on the paint that should polish out, few scratches that wont. 3 corners have light gatepost grazes.
The alloys are kerbed and the NSR (the most worn tyre at about 6mm) needs air every few weeks.
The buttons on the keys dont work.
Battery holds charge overnight fine but doesnt last over a few weeks of non use. I did notice one rear internal light had been left on though so it
could be that.
Drivers floor mat is worn through.
Airbag light is on because like a twat i unplugged one seat without disconnecting the battery, will try to get my chum round to reset it.
Small rust spots on OSR wheel arch.
I'll update if i think of anything else, but thats about it.
I think £1500 is a decent price for a 'tidy if you squint' 150mph car. Collect from leeds obviously. Photos will come as soon as i work
out how to get them onto my computer!

118k!
Service history:
Delivered 12/04/01
John Fox Audi 09/09/02 17972
Linclon Audi 09/05/03 28755
Peterborough Audi 13/01/04 38276
Peterborough Audi 01/10/04 58218
Peterborough Audi 29/06/05 78907
Dundee Audi 05/05/07 95250
Nationwide service centre 15/05/09 104591
Nationwide 12/05/2010 107870
Nothing stamped since then. My mate got it 15/03/2012, and I got it on roughly 115000 and did an oil change soon after.
The timing belt hasnt been done to my knowledge, its a big job and i decided that given the value of the car, id just break it if the belt snapped!
Forgot to add it has the usual pixellated audi dash display, not worth fixing by most accounts.

Yeah, it's a proper nice motor! Just hope I can sell it without having to resort to eBay!
Noticed a wheel bearing rumble today too, and a chip in the windscreen! More poo to sort out...

It now also has had the front calipers reconditioned. Turned out to be that rather than wheel bearings. Mot is also done now.

Islay is my favourite place for a relax. We went for a meal at a 'Country Pantry' and when we came out, a brand new Range Rover had
blocked us in. I went back inside to see if anyone knew who it belonged to and the owner seemed bemused. "ach, are the keys no in it?"
they were in it, and every other car in the car park.....
I took my boat so we could tour most of the distillaries by sea.

I did suggest making it a boat tour, but no one trusted my captaincy! Bet that was fun though, it's on my list for 'one day'.

A top tip from swmbo: After several distillary tours, each including lots of sampling, don't decide to teach yourself how to scuba dive.....

Good call! We're aiming to do Ardbeg, Lagavulin and Laphroaig all in one day! And then after tea, maybe a few whiskies...

Bump! Still for sale, admittedly half heartedly...
I'm thinking of selling this and the cherokee and getting an a4 3.0tdi.
Can't remember if I mentioned the rebuilt front calipers. Either way its been getting some good use recently and is working well.
