Volvo s60 d5 auto fs
Finally going to get myself a bigger tow car for next seasons sprinting,so the volvo needs to go!
It's far from perfect condition and is not polished on a weekly basis etc. it's purely a workhorse for me, and a damn good one too!
It has a few issues;
Srs airbag service indicator showing on dash, which throws up a warning triangle also, and sometimes scrambles srs words (common fault with volvo dash,
and can be cheaply fixed if it bothers you)
Cracked front fog light lens and bulb
Auto box is very notchy at low speeds (20 mph) which can be annoying but once moving it's absolutely fine and a superb mile
Muncher!
On the plus side:
It's only done 82k which is very low, rare and nothing to these d5 motors!
2002 52 plate
It's fully serviced ( incl cam belt this year)
Interior is absolutely immaculate. Immaculate Full heated leather. (Rear seats almost unused) A/c, dual zone climate, electric folding mirrors, 4 cd
changer, awesome sound system,no bumps, rust or serious scratches to note
Plenty of tax and test. Only test advisory was low ish front pads so I have bought some mintex to pop in when needed
The engine is very very strong and feels like it will run for another 100k easily, it's fairly rapid too! It has never ever let me down, and
other than tyres, oil, filters and cam belt, has never needed a single thing In the 2+ years I've had it!
It has tow bar with proper volvo electrics (plugs directly into volvo harness in boot). Tows my rig around with no drama, and all I use the car for is
trailering to events throughout the year.
£1450 Ono. A mint d5 with no issues would be at least £1000 more expensive bit I wanted to make sure I was honest in the advert as report the notchy
auto box!

Notchy box is easily cured BTW, just replace the fluid which will cost around £130 for the correct Mobil fluid.

I had heard that, but also read that others who changed fluid and cleaned solenoids had same issues so not sure which way to go really? I need more
space and we buy any car offered me £1200 so I thought I'd try here as it's a great motorway mile eater and good on fuel. 45mpg

Transformed the changes in my car, easy enough to do as well.
Drain the sump, refill via the fluid cooler pipe in the rad then take the low pressure out to a 5 litre clear bottle run a couple of litres out and
keep topping up until it runs clear then top off and put the pipes back.
No clonking going into drive or reverse with smooth changes all the way now.
The bad stories are people using the wrong fluid mostly.
