Just been made aware by the CBR guru that is Andy B, that this is in fact a 2008 - 2009 motor so no longer for sale.

I have a 2005 for sale
CBR1000RR Fireblade 2005 engine
Hello I have a CBR1000RR engine for sale, sorry to piggy back this link but this is al new to me!!!!
I bought it for my kit car project thinking I needed a 2005 but the engine mounts are infact for a 2008!!! I am therefor selling it to pay for my new
2008 engine I have just bought. Its a 2005 engine, I don't know massive amounts about it all but I bought it off of someone a few months ago
wanting to do a grass track project but did not get round to it. It was out of a running bike, has been dry stored and had 7000 miles on it. I have
the engine, loom, ecu with key barrel etc and air box. I cant seem to add pics so email me gareth_jj@hotmail.com for more details, I am looking for
around £1500 for it.
Thanks
Gareth

So the bike you saw it in was registered a few years after it was built then?

Registered late hopefully for you,as otherwise you don't know what the engine has done.

Even when I thought it was a 2011 the plan was to have it cracked open and inspected before fitting to the car so I'll carry on with the
inspection and hope there are no gremlins hiding inside. I've contacted the fella I bought it from and he seems genuinely shocked and
immediately offered me a refund so I'm certain there's no attempt at deception on his part!!
He's going to check the engine number on the V5 which may shed light but I'm content at the moment.
