BMW Luego Viento for Sale

Offered for sale is my 2014 Luego Viento with 3142 miles on the clock since registration. A full picture log of the build can be found on here at

£5,950 ONO

The car is located at NG16, about 10 minutes off J26 of the M1.

It passed its MOT in June 2025 with no advisories. The clutch was replaced just before the MOT. I’ve also just replaced the headlamp bowls as one of the reflectors was showing signs of corrosion.

The Viento is a larger than average ‘Seven’ style kit car so can hold a 6ft plus person in comfort. The reason for sale is that I’m not using it enough so I would rather that someone else gets the pleasure out of it that I have had.

This one is powered by a BMW 2.8l straight 6 engine (M52B28) and gearbox (these are currently selling on e-bay for ca. £1,000), with a Sierra XR4 limited slip diff. The original BMW ECU has been remapped for higher revs and to remove the unwanted fault codes that would come up due to the donor car ancillaries not being present. The original BMW immobiliser was also installed and there is a second remapped ECU with the immobiliser deleted. The prop shaft was professionally made by Dunning and Fairbank Ltd, so is not one of the potentially dangerous home shortened ones. The Team Dynamics 17” wheels and Avon ZZ3 tyres are in excellent condition. The dashboard contains a set of six gauges and sensors from the renowned ETB instruments. The seatbelts are Titon 4 point.

I built this car for a balance of speed and comfort, so it could be made lighter and performance increased if someone wanted to turn it into an out and out track day car. If I wanted to this then I would replace the inlet manifold for one from an M50 (30 more BHP), replace the padded seats with fibreglass ones, and remove the carpets. If you wanted to go mad, would even take an M3 engine with only minor modifications.

Luego Viento, registered 2014
BMW straight 6 2.8l M52B28 engine and gearbox
MOT, no advisories, June 2025
3142 miles on the clock since IVA

By the way, I assume that the other obvious places to advertise are Pistonheads and e-bay motors. Autotrader does not seem suited to kit car sales due to the limitations of their search function.

This is now sold. Sad to see it go, but I wasn't using it enough to justify keeping it.
