FS - 2007 Husqvarna WR250 Enduro Bike

Bit off thread, but someone might be interested (or know a man who knows a man who might be), so here goes:

I've owned this bike a short time and have really enjoyed the times I've used it, but unfortunately I don't get enough opportunity to justify keeping it on. As such, I've reluctantly decided to sell the bike in favour of pursuing a different hobby that I'll have the time/opportunity to participate in (I.E. I bought a Westfield already and both the car and the bike are crammed into my small modern garage with little space to swing a cat in - and I was thinking of taking up cat swinging as said new hobby )

It's a 2007 Husqvarna WR250 2 stroke, which I believe was originally run by the MPS race team as one of their race bikes.

The bike is in good condition, but does have the usual cosmetic scratches and marks that come with the territory with this sort of machine. I've used it for mainly green laning but did run it in the Ryedale Rally this year, which I thoroughly enjoyed, although the bikes capabilities were way beyond that of the rider :-)

Since buying the bike, I've kept up the maintenance and replaced parts as/when required.

It's running a Metzeller 6 Days front tyre, with a Mitas CO2 rear, with heavy duty tubes front and rear. These have only been used once and are still effectively new.

Ahead of the Ryedale Rally in July, I also fitted new brake pads front and rear, new Renthal chain and sprockets on, new grips and Acerbis hand guards.

Being a former race bike, it's fitted with a few trick bits - titanium footpegs, Pro Taper bars (Henry Reed bend), FMF Gnarly exhaust pipe and and X-Trig Progressive Handlebar Dampening System which allows a large range of adjustment to the handlebar positions as well as a reduction in chassis and engine vibrations.

It's also fitted with an Ohlins rear damper (I think this is standard but have had a few debates with my local Husky dealer who thinks it may have been an upgrade option - not sure on this one) and Excel rims.

I have a few spare parts to go with the bike also - a handful of spark plugs, new spare clutch and throttle cables, spare clutch and front brake levers, and a complete gasket set. The bike will also come with the Kriega US5 tail pack and Rok strap as shown in the pics, since I won't have much use for them. I also have the owners manual too (though it's not the easiest thing to follow!). If I find any more parts in the garage they'll go with the bike.

It's got an MOT until July 2013 and tax until August 2013, obviously I have the V5 in my name too. I also ordered the Vehicle Status Report through eBay (obviously it's clean on all counts), dated 11 October 2012, which I will happily email to anyone who wishes to see it. The frame number and V5 all match etc.

I've really enjoyed the short amount of time I've spent with this bike, having progressed from a couple of 125's while passing my test to eventually get this - jumping onto this from a DT125R was a huge leap in terms of both power and capability. People often like to state 'not for the feint hearted' but I really think the bike is as capable of being easy going for a relative newbie (like me) to, quite obviously, a full on race machine for more experienced riders. I'm definitely going to miss having this bike the first time my friends go off to do an enduro or for a trail ride, but I've made up my mind to sell and the wife knows it (which means no going back!).

I'm looking for offers in the region of £2,100.

If you have any questions about the bike I can be contacted on 07884 007 863.

Cheers buddy - it's a bit of a wrench to sell TBH, but now I have the westy in the garage I need the space (and some funds for either a bike engine conversion or duratec engine, not sure which yet).
