Bongo Bus For Sale.

And a couple of years ago...

It's tested until mid Novenberish. Currently SORN'd. Has just had a fresh (newish) turbo fitted. It has four new tyres.
I've had a look underneath and there is some surface rust on the sills which would be blathered with underseal if the Bingo was to be put int Bay. They feel solid. The brake pipes look scabby where they leave the front caliper flexi's. The turbo/intake pipes need to be taken off and cleaned as they are splatted with oil from running with a buggered turbo. I have bought a few other bits and bobs to fit but I'm running short of time. My days off work are concentrating on fixing up my house to sell and time is not on my side!
Make me an offer!!

It's a Ford Freda. Or a Mazda Bongo. Depending on the badges!

It's obviously quick enough to require an air brake

Hi Owelly, thought you'd already sold this! Go on, somebody buy it! I get one of these to fettle & service, it never needs much. Not the thing to have if high performance & fantastic handling are a must but if you want a 4wd camper these are way cheaper than a Syncro VW Transporter & have Mazda reliabilty which puts the VW in the shade.

My Freda has a set of lowered springs and new drop links so it handles just like a Lotus.....er...

And mine is 2wd, not 4x4.

Bugger, all the ones I've seen (about 4!) are 4wd.
Still, almost everything else is only 2wd!

2.5 turbo diesel. Auto. Not converted so just the double bed in the roof, and the usual array of seat/bed combinations downstairs. Including the dining option which involves tipping the front seats forward, folding out some little squabs and sitting facing rearwards sitting at the table, which is the middle row of seats folded flat, and then the rear seats make the other row of seats for the diners!!
The rear seats are the butterfly type. Each half folds up to each side. It has a full set of manual blinds. And rear door curtains. Curtain rails around the front.
Towbar fitted.
I'll find some interior pics or go and take some. It's not been used much for the past few months so could do with a good clean.

Here's a few random interiors lifted from Ebay listings! My Bongo is a Ford Freda so have a look in the Bay to see more!

I'll get some pics of my Freda as soon as I can.
