For Sale: Quite nice Striker 1.8 Zetec!

Bought this car to put in a bike engine but as I have a busa turbo, and a Cobra paint job to pay for it's for sale! Will soon be on Pistonheads with the following text and I will add photos as soon as I'm sober! Can't accept less than 7.2K so please don't ask, will be on PH for 8.5 which is what I paid, let me know if the add is OK!

This is my Striker for sale but it is not a bog standard Striker by any means. Featured in Kitcar magazine, the issue will be free with car! It would be great if potential buyers see some other Strikers before seeing this one to appreciate it fully.
It was built by a machinist Lynsey Christopher working with Ford. He made the most of his expertise and hand turned and manufactured many of the components such as the steering wheel boss cover, the battery bracket etc etc. When I recently changed a bulb, I found that instead of using self tappers to hold the lights on, he had manufactured two semi circular lightweight retaining plates for each light and tapped them to take alloy machine screws! There is much superb tactile detailing like that. The car is beautifully built to last.
I bought the car after test driving a number of Caterhams, and I have owned Westfields and an MNR. This car handles better than any seven type car I have ever driven. I have only had it on one track day and it makes you feel like a Top Gear presenter! It is supremely progressive and I surprised myself with quicker lap times than my R1 powered lightweight!
Selling to finance the finishing of my Cobra which just got SVA. Approx 155 BHP but will soon be confirmed as I have a rolling road session booked to get it tuned.

Pistonheads ad now live under Kit cars- Sylva.
And I've reduced the price for a quick sale.
Had some lovely feedback from the guys on Sylva forum, they all knew the car from when it was at Stonleigh.
