Need a full Waxoil
Any suggestions where I can get a car waxoiled?
I'm in Southampton, so somewhere local would be good.

Excuse my ignorance, but isnt it just a case of painting it on?

True but doing the underside is tough going with a brush unless you can turn the car upsides down. I did the whole underside of the bluebird which
took weeks and had me and the garage floor covered in the stuff crawling around on my back, believe me it was no fun at all

Can't find it on the search just now, but there was a thread a while back with a hilarious tale of some guy waxoyling his car in the garage.
IIRC he was heating the stuff to soften it for spraying and ended up covered in the stuff with a fire kicking off and total mayhem through out the
house as he tried to deal with the situation 
Found it....well worth a read for some giggles!

I've heard good things about these guys on the classic car grapevine, but they are in Rugby, so

Used to waxoil a mini with my dad
Made sure it was a nice dry day and had been dry for a couple of days.
Lifted a man hole cover, dad climbed in with brushes and face mask. I pushed the car backwards and forwards over him. He cleaned / brushed under the
car.
He got out and had a break, i cleaned up. Sorted out the waxoil and repeated the process of him in the drain but this time spraying.
Once done, took of the wheels and did the arches.
Usually done in a day easily - but my dad does work like a man posessed.

You need to make sure you know what you want, that whoever does it knows what you want & that they actually DO what you want!
How much do you want to prevent the rust & on what kind of car?
If it's a "normal" car brushing or spraying it on all the underside metal is only touching the surface of doing a good job, rust
starts from in all the joints & seams in the bodywork, rarely from the middle of panels unless they've been damaged. This means to really do
some good you need to get inside all the body cavities, door trims off, blanking plugs pulled out etc & get in with a long flexi probe that sprays
it all over the inside of these sections so it can creep into the seams where the problem really starts.
Obviously if you're paying someone to do it then it's going to get expensive with the labour & as said it's a horrible job so
not many will want it.
Question whether it's worth it on most modern stuff, take a wander round a scrapyard these days & not many cars will be in with serious rust
problems
